We will go over basic nutrition and care needed for all dogs as well as a discussion on enrichment and affects stress have on your dog. These classes teach the basic command of sit, down, proper greetings, recall, leash walking and the most important check-in (getting and holding your dogs attention)

Outline below gives you a general idea of what to expect at each class. Please note each set of classes are tailored to attendees. $180 for 6 classes

For this class we require you bring a mat for your dog to rest on (This can be a mat of any kind, a small blanket or even just a towel) Treats that your dog responds well to. Your dog also must be on a leash no longer than 6′ at all times.

Please note all of our training is based on positive reinforcement so no shock collars, choke collars or prong collars are allowed.

  • Class One – No dogs 60-90 minutes
    • You will receive a folder with handouts
    • We will discuss nutrition and basic care
    • We will discuss enrichment and stress
    • We will review the bare basics of sit & down command (for you to practice at home)
    • We will discuss best methods of handling and delivering treats
    • We will review our rules and expectations
    • Questions will be answered and we will ask you to share your expectation of the class and any particular needs you and you dog may have
  • Class Two – Approximately 60 minutes
    • We will Practice the sit and down command
    • We will learn on how to create attention in your dog (check-in)
    • We will practice getting attention
    • We will touch on proper greetings
  • Class Three – Approximately 60 minutes
    • We will learn how to recall your dog
    • We will spend the entire class on practicing recall
  • Class Four – Approximately 60 minutes
    • We will learn Heel Work (Leash walking)
    • We will spend the entire class on practicing leash walking
  • Class Five – Approximately 60 minutes – You will be asked to bring a family member or friend
    • We will review the stay command
    • We will practice additional leash walking
    • We will practice proper greeting with the help of your guest
  • Class Six – Approximately 60 minutes
    • There will be practice games with prizes for everyone
    • Diploma’s are handed out
    • Pictures are taken
